Ronald Javor writes illustrated stories for young readers about young people who face hurdles involving homelessness, their abilities or disabilities, or their relationships; and how they overcome these obstacles with imagination, perseverance, and the support of family and new or old friends.  The books are designed for preschool and early elementary school ages, and include information for discussions about the issues in each book.
